About the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston
As part of the nation’s central bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston promotes sound growth and financial stability in New England and the nation. The Bank contributes to local communities, the region, and the nation through its high quality research, regulatory oversight, and financial services, and through its commitment to leadership and innovation.

Products and Services Purchased by the Bank
The Bank expects from its suppliers high quality goods and services. Our purchases include software, hardware, printers and other office equipment, construction work, building materials, furnishings, food services equipment, fitness equipment, automobiles, floor coverings, electrical supplies, various equipment maintenance, training and consulting services.

Becoming a Bank Supplier
We solicit competitive bids or proposals for the goods and services we need. We award contracts to those suppliers that offer the best total value in terms of price, quality, availability, and service. Competitive proposals and bids are often issued electronically and require that a supplier’s proposals or bid be submitted electronically.

If you would like the Bank to consider purchasing your products or service, please complete and submit the Prospective Supplier Profile form. pdf

The Bank periodically reviews the ability of suppliers to maintain delivery, price, and quality requirements. If we find suppliers to be unresponsive, or if their performance is unsatisfactory, we reserve the right to remove them from our list of suppliers.

Policy Statement of Nondiscrimination in Contracting and Procurement
The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, age, disability or sexual orientation in our contracting and procurement activities.

Diversity Outreach Program
The Bank has an outreach program designed to maintain a diverse pool of qualified suppliers. Our Purchasing Unit actively solicits and provides small, minority, and women-owned businesses with equal and practical opportunity to compete for supplying the Bank with goods and services.

As part of its commitment to a diverse supplier base, the Bank participates in vendor fairs, uses supplier databases to search for qualified candidates, and holds memberships in organizations that support its diversity initiatives.
