Strengthening Partnerships for Inner-City Entrepreneurship: A Forum for Community-Based Organizations and Funders

Thursday, October 17, 2002
8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Federal Reserve Bank of Boston

Conference Overview

Over the last decade, community-based organizations in Massachusetts and their financial supporters have gained significant experience in providing support to low- and moderate-income urban entrepreneurs. However, there is little consensus regarding the most effective approaches to fostering entrepreneurship. What’s working? What’s not? How can collaboration be improved to serve entrepreneurs better?

This morning conference offers community-based business assistance providers and their funders an opportunity to share experiences and perspectives on the best ways to promote business creation and growth in low-income urban areas.

  • Hear from panels of experts in the field.
  • Join in a roundtable discussion with your own questions.
  • Mix and mingle during an hour-long luncheon with the panelists and other attendees.
