Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs)

Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) are privately owned and managed investment firms, licensed and regulated by the U.S. Small Business Administration, that provide venture capital and start-up financing to small businesses. With their own capital and with funds borrowed at favorable rates through the Federal Government, SBICs provide venture capital to both new and established small, independent businesses.
