Community Development Topics: Community Investments

Community investments are designed to promote affordable housing, infrastructure and other real estate development, small business, and job creation in lower-income neighborhoods and populations.

These investments are funded by institutional investors, public agencies, individuals, and others and are often conducted through community development corporations (CDCs), community development financial institutions (CDFIs), and other organizations whose primary purpose is to help meet the credit, housing, and economic development needs of low- and moderate-income communities.
