Personal Financial Education
The Financial Education Group at the Boston Fed is dedicated to empowering New England residents with the knowledge and resources they need to pursue, achieve and sustain their financial wellbeing by:
- Conducting Research: We gather and objectively analyze data to identify the most effective financial education strategies and practices;
- Engaging Practitioners: We connect with local providers of financial education and services to understand what works, highlight promising models and supply educator training;
- Convening Stakeholders: We bring together public officials, community organizations and practitioners to discuss financial education policies and innovative approaches.
In addition, we partner with community banks, colleges and local nonprofit groups to spread awareness of resources and protections in place for financial decision-making.
