Biography
Sergey Kulaev is an economist with the Consumer Payments Research Center of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where he is currently conducting an empirical analysis of consumer choice among payment methods, studying data from a survey conducted by the Center. Kulaev earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Moscow State University and his master’s degree from the New Economic School in Moscow. He was awarded a Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University in 2009.
