Policy Brief No. 07-2
by Darcy Rollins Saas with Alicia

Full-text paper
This policy brief investigates one element of the Center’s 2006 Working Paper: The Lack of Affordable Housing in New England: How Big a Problem? Why Is It Growing? What Are We Doing About It? Specifically, the fact that the region’s very low-income households are squeezed by declining housing affordability and declining real incomes. Further, the supply of the rental housing that this group could afford is not adequate to meet demand, given crowding down by high-income households that are occupying these units due to an inability to afford other housing. |
