The competition was broadcast on New England Cable News (NECN) on
Thursday, December 13 at 7:00PM and on
Saturday, December 15 at 8:00PM.
On Tuesday, November 20th six high school teams, one from each of the New England states, competed in the 2007 Reserve Cup Challenge.
Participating schools included:
Conard High School from West Hartford, CT
Marshfield High School from Marshfield, MA
Bangor High School from Bangor, ME
Winnacunnet High School from Hampton, NH
North Providence High School from North Providence, RI (Winner)
Essex High School from Essex Junction, VT
The teams were required to answer questions from quizmaster and emcee Billy Costa of TV Diner fame. Topics included personal finance, globalization, economics, and the Federal Reserve System. Chris Foote, the Director of the Bank's Center for Behavioral Economics and Decision-Making served as color analyst.
For the second year in a row the competition was tied and went to a Bonus Round. North Providence High School edged Marshfield High School by one correct answer. |
