| The FED CHALLENGE Competition
promotes economic literacy by asking students
to analyze economic conditions and recommend an appropriate
course for monetary policy in a presentation
before a panel of judges. The FED CHALLENGE encourages
the development of important skills such as: research
and analysis; decision-making; argument formulation;
and effective communication.
High School Fed Challenge
Teams from New England high schools
(one team per school) are invited to participate in
this program. There is no fee to participate. The Federal
Reserve Bank of Boston will pay for reasonable travel
expenses in accordance with its travel regulations
for finalists to and from the Boston district championship
and for the team representing the Boston Fed at the
Washington, D.C. competition. For complete
