Economic Summit for High School Teachers
of Economics
October 24,
2005
The Economic
Summit is the result of recognition by the sponsoring
institutions of a
need in New England
for economic discourse geared to the requirements
of high school teachers.
This event brought
together economics professors, policymakers, and
researchers to help teachers make the connection
between economic theory, research, and policy, on
the one hand, and classroom instruction, on the
other. The first event of its kind in the Northeast, the
Summit offered the perspectives of a former White
House advisor, researchers at a Federal Reserve
Bank, and a professor in the growing field of
experimental economics.
Sponsors: Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Connecticut
Council of Economic Education, and Choate Rosemary
