On Tuesday, August 7, as part of its Global Education Forum, the Bank will provide an all-day seminar on the topic of financial literacy and its role in economic growth. Hear from Fed economists who have done research in Haiti, Uganda, Mexico and Zimbabwe. Learn how to apply this research to the classroom setting.
This seminar will culminate with a special feature. The forum will end with a videoconference featuring Chairman Bernanke addressing teachers from across the country. Hear the Chairman's remarks regarding the critical need for personal finance education in light of "The Great Recession." The Chairman will also answer questions from teachers.
