Anti-Money
Laundering: New Payment Methods and Detecting Terrorist
Financing
On Tuesday, March 4, 2008, the Federal Reserve
Bank of Boston and NEACH co-sponsored a seminar
"Anti-Money Laundering: New
Payment Methods & Detecting
Terrorism Financing." The event outlined how expanded
money laundering
detection skills are necessary for all of the new
electronic payment methods and potential terrorism
financing? Key goals included outlining how institutions
could implement an effective Anti-Money
Laundering (AML) program by understanding the rules

FedExchange 2007
The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston held an information
session, FedExchange, for First District financial
institutions in December 2007. FedExchange featured
Reserve Bank experts in payments, community affairs,
economics, and payments law who provided insights into
trends impacting New England and the nation.
Our goal was to provide a broad spectrum of information
to help financial institutions make business decisions
during this period of rapid change in the payments
