Welcome to Peanuts & Crackerjacks, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston's interactive baseball game that tests your knowledge of economics and pro sports trivia. Not a sports fan? No problem! Sports are the hook, but Peanuts & Crackerjacks is really about using economics to gain a better understanding of everyday life.

It's free, fun, and easy to use — even for rookies.

So step up to the plate and give Peanuts & Crackerjacks a try! Whether you're a student or a crusty veteran of many seasons in the adult world, you won't be disappointed!

To begin playing the game, type in your name below (first name only or a made-up name) and click the Play Ball button.

The Sports Page provides nine solid innings of economics content, everything from supply and demand to salary caps. Hint: Reading The Sports Page before you start each inning will give you a better chance of getting the right answers.

The Teachers Guide contains more than 50 activities and discussion exercises geared to a variety of learning styles.

How to Play

1. The game has 9 innings. You'll be asked up to 9 randomly selected questions per inning. The questions have 4 levels of difficulty — single, double, triple, and home run.

2. Players move around the bases, and eventually score, depending on whether your answer is right or wrong. It's a hit if your answer is correct; an out if your answer is wrong. You'll score a run whenever a player makes it home.

3. After 3 outs or 9 questions the inning is over and you automatically advance to the next inning.

4. Make sure you have the proper equipment to play.
